Day 01 : Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)
Depart from your hometown for Holy Mount Kailash Yatra and arrive at Kathmandu Airport today. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel by our company’s representative. Dinner and stay at your hotel in Kathmandu. (Meal included : Veg Dinner)
Day 02 : Pashupatinath Temple visit and fly to Nepalganj (450 m) 1 hr. 30 minutes flight
Breakfast will be in the hotel. A visit to Pashupatinath Temple in the morning will be organized for the travelers. The visit may also include Boudhnath Stupa depending on availability of time. In the afternoon you will be transferred with the group to the Domestic Airport Terminal to board your flight to Nepalgunj. On arrival at Nepalgunj transfer by bus to your hotel. Meet with other co-travelers who starts there trip from Nepalganj and night stay at your hotel. (Meals included : Veg Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 03 : Fly Nepalganj - Simikot (2950 m) – Airlift to Hilsa by Helicopter, walk uphill to Sher and drive to Taklakot (3700 m) 40 km / 2 hrs approx.
Today after early breakfast transfer to the Nepalgunj airport from where you board your scheduled flight to Simikot on fixed wing aircraft. On arrival at Simikot you will get a chartered helicopter which will ferry the group to Hilsa which has an non-metallic air-strip. On arrival at Hilsa our sherpa team will escort the group on a 45 minutes trek to the Tibetan Border city Sher. Here at Sher, you will find our vehicles (jeeps/van/bus) waiting for you to take the group to Taklakot after completing custom and immigration formalities. On arrival at Taklakot (Burang) check into Hotel for night stay. (Meals included : Veg Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).
Day 04 : Day free for acclimatization at Taklakot ( Burang)
This day will be free at Taklakot to acclimatize you to undertake the most difficult pilgrimage of Mount Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Do nothing beside rest at Taklakot and stay at your hotel. You may also take short trek/walk and visit local markets, if interest. (Meals included : Veg Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 05 : Drive to Chui Gompa, Mansarovar (4560 m) 110 km/ 4 - 5 hrs.
The ultimate of your Mount Kailash Yatra awaits for you today. Today you will have the first darshan of Holy Lake Mansarovar. After breakfast we take a drive to Chui Gompa (4560 m) through a rough terrain via Rakshas Taal. Besides taking bath in the Holy Lake Mansarovar you will also have free time for puja and havan at your own cost (on Full moon trips, it will be a full moon day at Mansarovar). After all this if time permits we will also visit the Hot Spring (additional charges for bathing in Hot Spring not covered in the package). Night stay will be at your guest house in near the lake Manasarovar. (Meals included : Veg Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 06 : 35 kms drive Mansarovar to drive to Tarboche. Trek to Dirapuk (16 kms / 5-7 hrs).
After breakfast we drive to Tarboche which is also known as Shershong. Enroute we will visit Yama Dwar. Enter the holy gate and continue further to Tarboche. At Tarboche you will meet Yak and Yak men. This is the starting point of the parikrama and the first day of kora. If you wish to hire a Yak and a porter to carry your luggage, you have to take from here only. During the trek you will today have the first darshan of Holy Mt. Kailash (North face). Today we will stay at our camp at Dirapuk. (Meals included : Light Veg Breakfast /Fruits, Frooty, Chocolates, Water as Lunch, Light dinner)
Important note: Yatris who are not willing to go for the Mt. Kailash parikrama will return back to Darchen from here and will wait for the other group members in their guest house at Darchen or Mansarovar.
Day 07 : Trek to Zuthulphuk (5800 m) – 22 kms / 9-10 hrs trek.
Early morning after having stunning view of Mount Kailash, we start our trek uphill. This is going to be difficult trek and full of climax on the holy yatra of Mount Kailash. Be prepared in your mind accordingly. We trek just under the Holy Mount Kailash. The trek will bring you to Drolma La pass (5800m) which is the highest points of the trek to Mount Kailash. The trek is rocky and steep upward and then downward. From here we descend towards gradual field of Zuthulphuk. When you move down you will see Gauri Kunda. From the valley below the walk becomes pleasant and relaxing a bit. The path takes you through some gentle slopes over the grassy field. Reach Zuthulphuk and stay in a guesthouse/camp. (Meals included: Light Veg Breakfast /Fruits, Frooty, Chocolates, Water as Lunch, Light dinner)
Day 08 : Zuthulphuk to Darchen trek 10 km/ 4 - 5 hrs. and drive to Taklakot 110 km/ 4 - 5 hrs.
Breakfast will be served near the guesthouse/camp and one can enjoy the morning time in exploring the caves, visiting the temples and shrine built around. Here you will see a married old couple supervising the temple. The temple is a residence for over half a dozen Tibetan devotees, helpers or relatives who keep busy themselves busy with the maintenance of the buildings. The cave also contains meditation platforms. Climbing up to these caves before ending the final trek of the holy Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is worth. After a 10 kms / 4-5 hours walk we reach to the final destination of our Mansarovar Yatra trek near Darchen. (Those who could not do parikarma would be waiting to welcome other group members at this point). Our vehicles will be waiting to take the group to the hotel in Taklakot for overnight stay. (Meals included : Light Veg Breakfast /Fruits, Frooty, Chocolates, Water as Lunch, Dinner)
Day 09 : Drive Taklakot to Sher (40 km / 90 minutes drive), Trek down till Hilsa and fly to Simikot - Nepalganj – Kathmandu
After breakfast we drive to Sher and descend down to Hilsa by crossing the bridge. From Hilsa the chartered Helicopter will ferry the group to Simikot and from Similkot we will be taking scheduled flight to Nepalganj. From Nepalganj connect with your flight to Kathmandu for night stay. (Meals included : Veg Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 10 : Fly back to your home with memories of Mount Kailash & Holy Lake Mansarovar
Today you fly back to your hometown from Kathmandu airport with life time memories of a spiritual journey to within. We hope the Heli Kailash Mansarovar Yatra was a lifetime spiritual experience for you. After breakfast spend some time roaming around in the local markets to by souvenir etc or spend time for independent activities. (Meal included: Veg Breakfast)
