Everest Kalapathar & Gokyo Valley

As the trail to Everest Base Camp became more and more crowded, a need arose to find an alternative route that could be equally spectacular in terms of the mountains experience and views of the worls's tallest peak. The route up to Dudh Pokhari and Gokyo Ri surpasses the traditional route. As we follow the Dudh Koshi River towards its source, we pass Cho-oyu 8153 meter, the sixth highest peak in the world. Leaving the inhabited world behind, we trek through seasonal yak herding pastures until, atlast, we reach out high camp on the shores of Dudh Pokhari (Milk Lake). From here wee day hike to 5300m Gokyo Ri – the highest point on this trek- then return to our camp in time for dinner.

Day 01: Arrive in Tribhuban International Airport, Kathmandu (1,310m)
As you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be received by the representative staff from Ace Holiday Treks with a proper greeting. Then, afterward, you will be transferred to hotel where you will learn the detailed itinerary. We can change the set itinerary as per your feasibility and need. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Flight to Lukla (2,827m) 35 min, trek to Phakding (2,610m) 3 hrs
On the following day, you will catch a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which consumes 35 minutes. From Lukla, you will head to a place called Phakding (2,610 m). The trip begins after ascending the slope on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River of Nepal. Meanwhile, you will view the magnificent beauty of Kusum Kanguru, Mt Kwondge and on the way, you passed a few tea houses and Mani walls. Stay overnight in Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5 hrs
Next day you will move to Namche (3,440m) taking 5 hours of trek duration.  Taking slight rise from Jhorsalle, the trail crosses a waterfall. All through the day, you will cross the villages interspersing magnificent forests of Rhododendron, giant fir trees, and magnolia. And on the way to stroll you will be rewarded with the first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) then a vertical climb to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m). Day 04: Acclimatization day, view Everest and back to Namche
You might have an idea behind acclimatization as you are proceeding to elevated elevation it is recommended to have short day hike to Thame, Khumjung or Khunde. If you get some time then you can go for soothing and be exploring the Namche, the Sherpa culture and be viewing Everest you will return to Namche Bazaar.Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Trek to Dole (4,110m) 5-6 hrs
Today you will set another milestone towards Dole (4,110m) by soaring up to Namche Bazaar. From Kyangjuma village you can observe the views of Thamserku and Amadablam. You will cross all through the Mong La to take pleasure from an impressive outlook of snowcapped mountains with the valley. Namche Bazaar will too put forward the natural flora and fauna. Stay overnight in Dole.

Day 06: Trek to Machhermo (4,470m) 4-5 hrs
From Dole, you will start the trek to Machhermo (4,470m) taking 4 to 5 hours. At first, you will soar up all along the side of the valley and Rhododendron forest. The trail will take you into a trail where you have to cross several summer arrangements, grazing land. In front of you, the superb view of Cho Oyu is standing and other peaks like Thamserku and Khantega. Stay overnight in Machhermo.

Day 07: Trek to Gokyo Lake site (4,790m) 4-5 hrs
On the following day, you will head to Gokyo Lake site (4,790m), a sacred land. You will go after the picturesque trail to Pangka and go up steep rocky by the side of the glacier. You will cover up the first, second and third lakes. As you move inside of the lake you will see the enclosed splendid Gyachung and Cho Oyu whose reflection can be seen in the water. Stay overnight at Gokyo Lake site.

Day 08: Ascend to Gokyo – Ri (5,357m) and trek to Drangna (4,700m) 6-7 hrs
Stepping with going up to the pinnacle of Gokyo Ri, you will be rewarded with several amazing sceneries. There subsist noticeable viewpoint of dramatic Gokyo Valley, huge Ngozumpa Glacier and hard to deem panoramic observation of Khumbu Himalayas like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Cho-Oyu. In the afternoon you will trek down to Drangna (4,700m) Stay overnight in Drangna.

Day 09: Trek to via Cho La Pass Zongla (4,830m) 6-7 hrs
On the following day, you will wake up early in the morning and then begin the trek following the trails of Cho La Pass which is situated at an elevation of 4,830 meters. Cho La Pass is the medium to trek Zongla. Stay overnight in Zongla.

Day 10: Trek to Lobuche (4,910m) 4 hrs
Today you will keep on your trip all the way through the Alpine region. On the way to Lobuche (4,910m), you will be crossing the ice-covered river in Thukla glacier and scale up the hill to observe the splendid scrutiny of the Cholatse, Lobuche, Nuptse and Pumori. It takes 4 hours to end the Lobuche trek. Stay overnight in Lobuche.

Day 11: Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m) 4-5 hrs
The nature of today’s trek demands an early walk as you will move to Gorakshep marking the trek from Lobuche. At first you will go after the narrow space that stuck amid the moraine of glacier and the wall. After that you will cross the tributary of mountain glaciers to the dried out lake bed recognized as Gokrak Shep (5,140m). Stay overnight in Gorakshep.

Day 12: Ascend to Kalapathar (5,545m) and trek down toDingboche (4,360m) 6-7 hrs
Today you will go in front to go up the Kalapathar (5,545m) in an early morning which takes 3 hours. This is one of essential magnetism of the trek and we have focused our main attention to it. Here, you will be delighted an out of the worldly views of Everest, Khumbase, Mt Chho-yu, Pumari, Khumbu Glacier and so on.

Ascending to Kalapathar and trekking downward to Lobuche now you will start on with the trek to Dingboche (4,360m). Here, you will effort two treks counting Dingboch and Periche where you will trek down to the Island Peak. Dingboche is the ideal location from where you can outlook downward valley, attractive array of pastureland which is bounded by stone walls. Stay overnight in Dingboche.

Day 13: Trek to Namche (3,440m) 6/7 hrs
Finishing the trek to Dingboche today you will make use of it by trekking Namche (3,440) 6/7hrs. Starting the trek from the serene Khumjung with Khumbila peak will continue the trek to see the Tengboche monastery in the Tengoboche. In addition you will get to see the outstanding monastery and Himalaya like Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kategna and Thamserku. After seeing the view we cotinue to Namche. Stay overnight in Namche.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2,828m) 5-6 hrs
On the following day you will start in on to trek Lukla (2,827m) after taking breakfast. The trek will seize 6/7 hours from Namche Bazaar. The weather of Lukla cannot forecast so more often the trekking companies include an additional day for Lukla. But you are set out in a proper season you might be lucky to travel out on the same day. Stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 15: Flight to Kathmandu (1,310m)
In an early morning you will take a flight to Kathmandu taking 35 minutes from Lukla Airport. This will be the joyous adventurous flight. Arriving in Tribhuban International Airport, you will be picking up and then again transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the comfortable bed. In the evening you will return to hotel completing the short sightseeing to take part in farewell dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Departure.
Spending 16 days on this day you will return your home town. You will be transferred to airport safely and then depart from us. During depart also you want to stay with us and we will be waiting you again back to Nepal for your Next holiday packages.
